Mathematics
I can show division as sharing and as grouping and use fact families.
Look: 20 ÷ 5 two ways
- Sharing: deal 20 counters into 5 cups. Each cup gets 4.
- Grouping: scoop piles of 5. You make 4 piles.
- Same equation: 20 ÷ 5 = 4. Its partner is 5 × 4 = 20.
Write all four facts for each family.

Look: The dialogue sandwich
- Quotation marks are the bread. The spoken words and their comma, ? or ! are the filling.
- Tag after: "I'm ready," said Nia. / "Are you ready?" asked Nia. / "Watch out!" yelled Nia.
- Tag first: Nia said, "I'm ready."
