Mathematics
I can find perimeter by adding the side lengths of any polygon.
Look: a 6 m by 2 m rectangle
- Two sides are 6 and two sides are 2.
- 6 + 2 + 6 + 2 makes 16.
- The perimeter is 16 m.
Add all the sides. Cross off each side as you add it.

I can write a body paragraph with a topic sentence, facts and linking words.
Sea Turtle Nests
Mother sea turtles work hard to keep their eggs safe. First, a mother crawls onto a sandy beach at night. Next, she digs a deep hole with her back flippers. For example, a green sea turtle may lay about 100 eggs in one nest. In addition, she covers the eggs with sand so predators, or animals that hunt other animals, cannot find them. Her nest is a hidden nursery.

Produce Variation Chart. Number 5 pieces of one kind of fruit or vegetable. Measure around each one with string and a ruler.

- List each thing you will spend or save.
- Add the lines. The total cannot be more than your income.
Make a Budget: you have $14. Prices: book $6, yo-yo $3, juice $1, bracelet kit $4, marker $2. Save at least $3.
