Mathematics
I can design a fraction quilt and name each color in more than one way.
Look: a 6-square quilt
- Draw a rectangle of 6 equal squares (2 rows of 3).
- Each square is 1/6 of the quilt.
- 3 squares is 3/6, which is also 1/2.
Quilt 1 has 8 equal squares (2 rows of 4). Color it: 1/4 purple, 3/8 orange and the rest green.

Write the purple part in two ways.

Plan your Town Council Challenge. First write the big question: How can our town make it safe for kids to walk to the library? Write two smaller questions that would help answer it, and one place you could find each answer. Then list three solutions with one benefit and one cost or concern.
