    1. Color × and ÷ red. Do the red part first: 2 × 4 is 8.

    3. Parentheses go first: in (5 + 2) × 4, add to get 7, then 7 × 4 is 28.

    1. Rhythm is the pattern of strong and weak beats in a poem.
    2. Say the line and tap on each strong beat: the DOG ran DOWN the HILL (3 beats).
    3. Read three times: slowly with taps, then smoothly, then with expression.
