Revising, Poetry & Comparing Texts

For the adult
This test covers Weeks 13–18: comparing two stories about the same characters, reading a poem, revising and editing, prefixes and suffixes, and the first steps of research. You may read all directions and the questions aloud, but your child reads the two stories, the poem and the two source cards alone. In Revising & Editing and Word Study, read only the directions, not the sentences or words. For the paragraph at the end, read the prompt aloud and remind your child to use their own words, not copied sentences. Do not spell words or fix punctuation for them. This test is longer than earlier ones, so plan two sittings: the stories and the poem on day one, the rest on day two.
